Who we are
Dastan Sara ("we", "us") is a small Australian media studio that runs the YouTube channels Taana Baana and Dastan Sara. Dastan Sara is operated by Abdul Ahad, ABN 91 756 159 069. Contact: hello@dastansara.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website (dastansara.com) and Dastan Sara Studio, our private production tool. Studio is used only by us and people we invite to work with us. It prepares videos and uploads them to our own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public.
YouTube API Services
Dastan Sara Studio uses YouTube API Services. By using Studio you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You must agree to this Privacy Policy before using Studio's features.
What information Studio accesses, collects and stores
When someone signs in to Studio with a Google account and grants access to one of our YouTube channels, Studio accesses:
- Google sign-in tokens (OAuth access and refresh tokens) that let Studio act on that channel;
- basic channel details: the channel's ID, name and handle;
- details of our own videos: titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, captions, privacy and scheduling settings, and upload status;
- performance figures for our own videos from YouTube, such as views, watch time and audience retention.
Studio does not access other people's channels, private messages, payment details or contacts. It does not read the personal information of people who watch or comment on our videos.
How we use and share it
- We use this information only to upload and manage our own videos and to measure how they perform.
- We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising.
- We share it only with the service providers that host our systems (our own server in Australia, and Cloudflare for this website), with people we invite to work on our videos (and then only what their task needs), or where the law requires it.
Storage, retention and deletion
- Studio's data is kept on a private server in Australia. Sign-in tokens are stored encrypted.
- Information obtained from YouTube API Services is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was granted for, and is refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
- If access is revoked, we delete all information obtained through that access within 7 days.
How to revoke access
Anyone who granted Studio access can remove it at any time from Google's security settings: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. You can also email us and we'll remove it for you.
Visitors to this website
This website has no sign-up, forms, advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to our pages; it does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Children
Our website and Studio are not directed at children under 13, and our channels are made for teens and adults.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@dastansara.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
